"The newest album from Minneapolis-based country-folk troubadour Luke Redfield has been a long time coming. Tusen Takk is a two-year collaboration with Jeremy Ylvisaker (who plays guitar in Andrew Bird’s touring band), and it features Twin Cities favorites like Dosh, Peter Pisano of Peter Wolf Crier, JoAnna James, and Haley Bonar. The album, which has already garnered a fair amount of buzz, is finally slated for release on Dream Song records in March 2012. Expect more of Redfield’s steadied honey tenor and amped-up production. His songwriting and affinity for Americana and roots music were large parts of his 2010 debut Epheremal Eon, but Tusen Takk may be a zoom out from traditional folk and country music, and an infusion of a broader, sweeping style."
